Welcome to your weekly Brew & AI
Each week, I’ll share how to make sense of AI - no jargon, no hype, just simple insights you can actually use.
P.S. - To ensure you receive this newsletter, please move it to the primary tab and set it for all future communications. Or just add this emailid as a known contact. I wish AI could solve this for me.

☕ What’s new
Welcome to the new Brew & AI.
I’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what would actually make this newsletter more useful for you – more actionable, more interactive, and packed with things you can immediately apply, not just read and forget.
☕ AI in the news

Anthropic debuts Claude Opus 4.6 with long‑context “knowledge work” focus
Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.6 as a major upgrade aimed at going beyond coding into broader knowledge work such as document analysis, spreadsheets, presentations, financial modeling, and search. The model features a one‑million token context window in beta and improved ability to handle long-horizon tasks, positioning it as a direct competitor in enterprise-grade productivity and research workflows.
This launch underscores a broader shift from single‑prompt chatbots toward persistent AI “teammates” that can manage complex, multi‑step workloads over large data.
OpenAI launches “Frontier” to deploy enterprise AI agents
OpenAI introduced Frontier, a service that lets enterprises build, orchestrate, and monitor AI agents plugged into their existing infrastructure and third‑party systems. Framed as an “intelligence layer,” Frontier is designed to help companies activate agents across workflows rather than just embedding standalone chat interfaces, with emphasis on reliability, governance, and integration.
This move signals OpenAI’s push deeper into the application layer, directly targeting the emerging market for agentic platforms used in operations, customer support, and internal tooling.
Alphabet crushes earnings, AI booming
Alphabet posted a record quarter, crossing 400 billion dollars in annual revenue for the first time, with Q4 2025 revenue at 113.8 billion dollars (up 18% year‑on‑year) and EPS at 2.82 dollars, driven by strong growth in Search, YouTube and a surging Google Cloud business.
CEO Sundar Pichai framed it as a “tremendous quarter” and highlighted that products built on Alphabet’s generative AI models are now a meaningful revenue engine rather than an experiment.
☕ Trending on social
In What’s Trending on Social, I’ll surface the most interesting AI takes, memes, debates, and hot posts bubbling up across X, LinkedIn, and beyond - so you don’t have to doomscroll to stay in the loop.
📰 A viral NDTV‑covered meme of President Donald Trump walking with a penguin in an AI‑generated Greenland image, shared by the White House and remixed endlessly.
🎥 Kling AI’s teaser for the Kling 3.0 multimodal “everyone a director” model, showing off wild video‑generation capabilities on X
✍ A widely shared LinkedIn “Algorithm Report 2026” post breaking down why personal profiles massively outperform company pages on reach and engagement
☕ AI or not
Lately I’ve felt that AI imagery has quietly crossed a line where, for most people and most use cases, it’s almost indistinguishable from “real” non‑AI artwork or photos.
To test that, I asked an image model to generate a movie poster for Anaconda and put it side‑by‑side with the original - now I’m curious if you can actually tell which one is AI‑made and which one is the real thing.
