Welcome to your weekly Brew & AI
Welcome to the very first edition of Brew & AI
Each week, I’ll share one blog, one tool, and one tip to make sense of AI - no jargon, no hype, just simple insights you can actually use.
Grab your coffee - let’s dive in. 👇
☕ AI in the news
🧬 DeepMind cancer breakthrough - While everyone’s out there helping creators entertain more, Google’s DeepMind is making significant strides in the detection of cancer.
🤔 Plan mode in Cursor - AI code editing tool Cursor just got a huge upgrade with Plan mode. It can now generate detailed specifications and documentation for anything you want to build. I used it to plan for all the animations on my website. You can be the judge of how they turned out.
🏗 AI workflow builder - Automation building platform n8n just released an AI workflow builder. Describe what you need in plain English, and it’ll build it for you.
Need ideas? Let me know! I’ve built one to mail me portfolio updates daily.
☕ Tool of the week
This week, we’re focusing on Perplexity, which recently made its Comet browser free to everyone.
Think of Perplexity as your espresso shot of information - delivering concentrated, cited answers instead of serving you a full pot of search results to sort through.
Unlike traditional search engines that leave you clicking through dozens of links, Perplexity synthesizes information from multiple sources and presents it in clear, digestible answers with transparent sourcing.

P.S. - With Comet browser, you can now set Perplexity as your default search and get your queries answered inside a chat rather than search through Google.
☕ Tip of the week
Use AI to transform your messy meeting notes or transcript into a structured action plan in under 60 seconds.
This prompt organizes chaos into clarity automatically.
If you’re not using Granola AI, this works wonders with any other notetaking tool.
Transform these meeting notes into an organized summary:

💛 P.S.
That’s it for this week’s brew.
I’d love to hear what you think - what you liked, what could be better, or what you’d love to see next.
Just hit reply - I read every message over my morning coffee ☕.
